This owner-operated business example recovers annual running costs and an owner amount through labour charges. Inputs remain in this page. No sign-up or storage of your inputs. We count visits and calculator use as daily totals, without saving your figures or creating visitor IDs. Your tab remembers only whether it has already been counted; a session is not necessarily a unique person. Cloudflare processes requests as our hosting provider. The calculation runs in your browser. Changing numbers does not convert currencies.

The owner amount is before personal taxes, not take-home pay or a statement of deductibility. Do not include it twice if already in business costs. Materials, travel and call-out charges must be handled consistently: no double recovery. Apply local rules for business taxes, VAT/sales tax, payroll and employment costs. Displayed amounts exclude VAT/sales tax. This tool does not calculate taxes.

No separate profit allowance is included. If you need a reserve or planning surplus, identify it separately and avoid counting a cost twice. A team business needs a fuller model of staff costs and billable capacity. A labour planning floor is not a complete quote: scope, materials, risk, value and market conditions still matter.

Estimate realistic weeks and billable hours using diary and invoice records, accounting for time off and unpaid/non-billable work. The example assumes billed revenue is collected. Track several representative weeks before making an annual estimate.
